What to expect with your first appointment!

  • The 60 and 90 min appointment you will receive manual and movement full body integrated approach regards your current symptoms/pain and old injuries etc.
  • I also provide Sports massage to help you according to your needs for your sport. Dry needling also included

If you do require further treatment we will work together to keep your symptoms under control. Your best option is to have 3 appointments in the space of 2 weeks as this way we can hopefully get to the problem of your symptoms as quickly as possible and alleviate your pain/discomfort within a short period of time. Please read the 3 series info below

With every client and every appointment, new or old, I ask clients to have no expectations regarding the result or outcome of their treatment. I do realize that you may have been to every therapist and specialists in the country and you are exhausted by been told the same thing over and over again and from a financial point of view in which has drained you even more.

I am fully aware of this. I ask for you to leave all of that at the door when you arrive for your appointment and give 100% as I do, so both of us can work together in solving your current issues. I can assure you that the qualifications and my therapy style is unique and I am not like any other therapists you have been too. I don’t make up stories as to what’s going on with you. Clients get very rewarding results in a short period of time.

3 Series – Optimum Body.ie

During the 3 series we will take your past injury details and from there look at how you move during walking and running for your sport. If you are looking to improve your range of motion in your joints, movement in general, posture and/or pain then the 3 series is for you. Your 3 series will be tailored for you, your needs and your goals!

What is the difference between the 3 series and a general Massage?

With the series we have a start, middle and an end. It differs from most forms of bodywork in that it is “series work”, meaning it is done over a series of sessions, seen as one process broken up into 3. It is not a technique of bodywork, but rather a method of bodywork that uses any and all techniques/modalities of bodywork to assist you with movement habits that may contribute to restriction, injury, pain and unease. Rather than only focusing on local symptoms, the 3 series has a more global approach that strategically works with the whole body to elevate its level of functionality and economy of effort.

The 3 Series Includes

  • 3 x 60min sessions
  • Body Reading/Postural/movement Assessment – with each session, here we look at what areas need attention and from there we move on to the Strategy/Session
  • Soft tissue, Dry needling, Movement.
  • You will be provided with home exercise after each session


Details of the- 3 Series

Session 1 – Legs and Pelvis

We look at where the body is getting the support from at present, but more importantly provide your body with even more support. An Example would be are you walking on the outside of your feet? We try to bring you to a more “Neutral” footing so when you do walk you have a better connection with the ground; as a result this may help with any strain in the knees or Pelvis. Is your pelvis somewhat balanced left to right. Your movement, is it somewhat balanced left to right. Is it what I call “your Normal” ?

Session 2 – Ribcage and Arms

Breath” is the main focus with session 2; we aim to work with your Ribs so they can support the Shoulder Blades, which will then support the neck and arms, which then supports the Head. Once we take this compression/closer/restriction from your ribs and create a “ lift” you will gain more breath into your Lungs. We then free any restrictions in the shoulder blades by working with the tissue in the area to bring them to their new moveable and less restricted place on your ribcage. Arms are in my opinion often neglected in the treatment room so I pay a lot of attention to arms also.

Session 3 – Head and Spine

In the final session we work with the spinal muscles to work in conjunction with sessions 1 & 2, to create a better sense of balance and communication between the lower and upper parts of the body. We pay particular attention towards freeing up any areas that are restricted, to allow more Flexion, Extension and Rotation of the spine and indeed the Entire Kinetic Chain. We then address our attention to the head and neck. Our aim here is to make sure that the head is resting comfortable on your shoulders and not creating any tension into your shoulders etc. During this session we can go back and work on any restricted areas that may need more attention like the legs or arms for example

Each session builds on the previous session to create better alignment, movement and function.
